Lucas Dave, mobility coach and yoga teacher
Who I am

Lucas Dave

Physiotherapist by training, yoga teacher and mobility coach. Since 2019 I've worked with very different people: some wanting to feel at ease in their body again, athletes stuck on a plateau, and the curious ones chasing their first handstand.

My approach combines my physiotherapy training with conscious movement. The point is not to hand you a list of exercises, but to help you understand your own body. That is what makes progress solid, and lasting.

What I offer

Mobility Coaching

You know you want to move better. What you need now is coaching built exactly around you: around your body, and around what you want to do with it.

100% online

Progress comes much faster when you work on exactly the right thing. And it is not always where you would expect: very often it is another joint, another point of support, that is holding the movement back. That is what we look for together in the assessment, and that is where your programme starts.

What it changes for you

  • Finally understand what is limiting you, through a one-hour video assessment
  • Know what to do and what you should feel, with a video for every exercise
  • See your progress, on movements filmed three times in the cycle
  • Real follow-up: message me on WhatsApp and send as many videos as you like
  • Decide what comes next together, on an end-of-cycle call
My method

What makes the difference

Three principles that guide every session and every programme I build.

  1. 01

    Clinical eye, conscious movement

My physiotherapy training informs every session. I don't just show you a movement, I explain what is happening in your body, so you understand what you're doing and why.

  2. 02

    Built for you

No generic programmes. What I build starts from your body, your history and what you want to reach, not from a template applied to everyone.

  3. 03

    Progress without forcing

Lasting progress comes from safety and body awareness. Never from performance at any cost, never from gritting your teeth.

Understand

Mobility, in three questions

Before talking about coaching, it helps to be clear on what we are actually discussing.

What is mobility?

Flexibility is the range a muscle accepts when you stretch it. Mobility is the range you actively control, with your own strength. It is the difference between being able to get there, and being able to get there on your own, without momentum and without compensating.

Why does it matter?

A range you cannot control is one your body protects by locking it down. That is what creates the stiffness that always comes back to the same place, the compensations, and the niggles that settle in. Gaining control is what makes movement reliable, in sport and in everyday life.

How do you work on it?

By first finding what is limiting you, because it is not always the muscle you would expect. Then by working at the edge of your range, with strength, regularly and progressively. It is not spectacular, but it is what lasts.

Frequently asked

What people ask me most

Question not answered here? Just write to me.

Is working online really as effective?

Yes. We start with a 1-hour assessment over video: I watch you move, I have you test positions, and I adjust in real time. That is where I get to understand your body. You then receive a written programme with a video for every exercise, yours to keep and rewatch as often as you like. Many people actually progress better this way, because they practise at home, at their own pace, without depending on a fixed slot.

What is expected from me?

An internet connection, a bit of space to move, and consistency. Most programmes take 20 to 30 minutes, a few times a week. I always build around the time you genuinely have, not the time you wish you had: a programme you never do is worth nothing.

I am a complete beginner. Is this for me?

Yes, and it is arguably the best moment to start. Starting from zero means no bad habits to undo. We build the foundations in the right order, and you understand what you are doing at every step. I work with people who have never practised as well as with experienced athletes.

What if I have pain or an injury?

Tell me in your very first message. My physiotherapy training means I can adapt and work around what bothers you, building around your situation. That said, what I offer here is coaching, not healthcare: if you have persistent pain or a diagnosed condition, speak to your doctor or physiotherapist first. We then work alongside that, never instead of it.
